• Question: Why when using my ipod does the screen only respond to my skin or a stylus not other material?

      Good question – they have been specially developed to respond to skin so that they only react when we want them to.

      Many touch screens rely on the interaction between the electric current in your finger (or a specially designed stylus) to interact with special electric sensors in the screen itself. That’s why other materials like the end of a biro etc wouldn’t work- no current interaction! That’s the best I can do I’m afraid- I’m not much of a techy!
