Because they are not afraid of failure they can take risks, which leads to success. They are also fresh and can think outside of the box. We are all bombarded by pictures of old Einstein, old Darwin etc. but if you think about it those scientists were in their 20s when they had their great ideas. Cheers to youth! And the great things the next generation will do for us!

I think young people should have the freedom and support to become whatever they want to be- if we were all scientists we’d never have cool movies to go see or designer outfits to lust over. However, if there were NO scientists we’d never have those things anyway! Everything relies on science in some way. That’s why having new people join the global scientific community is vital. Young people often have a fresh new way of looking at problems which is really valuable to science. Sometimes long-standing theories need shaking up a bit! So young people are vital to generating new ideas and asking new questions that us oldies just never thought of. Here’s to The Next Generation! 😉

I think young people should become whatever they want, not necessarily scientists! The important thing is to have a job that you feel passionate about. If you like science and find it interesting, go for it! 🙂
