• Question: Why do the passageways in your nose close when you have a blocked nose?

      They are full of mucous! Yuck.

      I guess mucus builds up causing the blockage. I think elevated mucus production is an immune response to bar any more nasties (like the cold virus) from entering your nasal passageways and causing even more trouble! I may be wrong though!
