Hi stephmaria! At first I wanted to become a palaeontologist because I was mesmerised by Jurassic Park and all the fabulous dinosaur skeletons in the Natural History Museum in London. I just thought they were so fascinating! As I got older my interest in dinosaurs grew smaller and smaller but I really wanted to learn about evolution and I still thought that learning about ancient life on Earth was the best way to do that. That’s what palaeontologists do- we study ancient life- not just dinosaurs but everything that has lived in the billion odd years since life began on this planet.
