Some people believe in reincarnation (particularly in eatern countries), but I don’t. Yes, this is to do with religion but it is still a good question!

This is entirely a religious idea. I think in many ways it is a nice idea but we have no idea what really makes a person who they are. On the up side, when we die our bodies decay and all our molecules may well end up making new animals or people! its a cool idea I think.

No one can say what happens to us after we have died, although many religions do believe in reincarnation. personally I don’t believe this will happen. I believe that death is a very natural part of life and that once my life ends it will not be continued by someone else. Everyone’s opinions about death seem to be quite different! (There is currently no scientific for what you’ve described though).

Michael Shermer has a great book, named “Why do people believe weird things?”, he explains that we convince ourselves to believe by nature and overlook the facts. I buy his argument. I do not believe in reincarnation or some magical power that has a role on our lives. It is hard to accept the fact of death, and I think believing in things like ‘other life’ is a reasonable yet very irrational but still understandable way to deal with it.
