The computer is amazing. If you go to the science museum in London there is a replica of the first ever computer called the difference engine. The difference engine was not electric and relied on people turning cogs to make it work. It is a massive intricate machine and one of the most beautiful you’ll ever see. Thinking about how far computers have come in such a short time is amazing and I think it is an incredible human feat.

There is a law called Moores law that says that computers get twice as powerful every two years, that is still happening! Imagine what we will have in two years time.

Good question! My favourite invention is actually the printing press since that was one of the first ways of allowing a huge number of people access to information. In keeping with this, the humble book is also one of my favourite inventions- there is no more elegant way than storing or transferring information and ideas than the book! (Except perhaps the iPad!)

Hmm, a difficult question. I think mobile phones are great… I know hey get a hard time becasue people think it stops us from interacting properly, but it is lovely to be able to speak to your friends whenever you want!
