Maybe! Advances in cancer research are happening everyday, so it is quite possible that we will find other ways of preventing other cancers. I hope so.

Great question! The answer is yes. Have you heard of the recent discovery “synthetic cell”? Basically scientist made a whole new genome chemically and transformed it into the cells. Genomes control our cells by carrying the DNA information. If we can make a whole new genome and trick bacteria to use it instead, that means: hacking the brain of the cells, really.

Now we can put in -any- information/property we wish that cells had and have our very own designer cells. One application of the synthetic cell is possible usage in cancer. This is going to be our future and it excites me! Great question!

That’s a fantastic question! I’m afraid I don’t know much about cancer therapy research but I guess it must be possible? I’m not sure it would work against all types of cancers though- I wonder if the other Evolution ladies know!
