• Question: Is it true that the are trying to invent flying cars? Do you think it is a good idea? Will there have to be hovering traffic lights and hovering signposts?

      Not sure. I don’t think it is a great idea though, I think we should be trying to reduce our car use by using more public transport!

      I know that we are trying to design cars that use fuel more efficiently and that rely on renewable energy sources like electricity. I’m not sure that we will ever invent flying cars. That would take huge amounts of energy to power one and it wouldn’t be very safe. I think the future of cars will be to design very fast electric cars with good performance on roads as opposed to in the air. Nice thought though!

      I haven’t heard of any plans for flying cars but it sounds good to me (so long as they are fuel efficient!). I am glad that when they do invent them there will be someone around with the brains to suggest floating signposts- good thinking!
