0 Question: How many gases are there on the planet Jupiter? Asked by kbanham to Betul, Bridget, Ceri-Wyn, Laurel, Maria on 17 Jun 2010 in Categories: General.
Betul Arslan answered on 16 Jun 2010:
It is mostly hydrogen and helium. Jupiter is one of the four ‘gas giant’ planets that are known to us, so far!
Ceri-Wyn Thomas answered on 16 Jun 2010:
I guess Jupiter’s two main gases are hydrogen and helium. It may have heavier elements in its core just like Earth but I’m afraid I don’t have a clue what they might be! Silicon? Aluminium?
Laurel Fogarty answered on 16 Jun 2010:
Hydrogen and helium in large quantities for sure. Maybe there are more though…hmm… I am stumped!
Bridget Waller answered on 17 Jun 2010:
No idea I’m afraid…sounds like a question for our friend Google. 🙂
