      Yes I’ve had to dissect sea squirts! These are squidgy, bulbous marine organisms that are called tunicates. The tunicates are a group of organisms quite closely related to us actually although you would never believe it to look at them. I had to cut the in half and remove their gonads in order to get some embryos from them. The species I was dissecting was hermaphroditic so they carried both sperm and eggs! It was quite a fiddly job.
