• Question: do you think there will ever be an invention, where you will get a T.V which you can reach in and take things out of it? like 4d?

      I think we may end up with TVs that are like the holographic suites you see on Star Trek- where you can immerse yourself in a projected image. I’m not sure whether it would be possible to take tangible objects from those images!

      That would be very cool. A few things would need to be solved first, we would need to have televisions with screens you can put your hand through (well you could put your hand through the ones we have now I suppose but it would hurt…), then we would need teleporters to make ‘things’ rather than pictures appear there.
      I think we are closing in on teleporters (check THIS out : http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn1888-teleporting-larger-objects-becomes-real-possibility.html) but I feel that a screen without the painful property of being hard and pointy when you put your hand through it might take some work…

      I wish! So far we can get a TV and reach a phone and buy what we saw on TV! With the way things are improving, I won’t be surprised if that’d happen, though. On the other hand, we are pass 2000 and there is still no flying cars, what the heck?
