I am one of those who believe that every end is a new beginning, therefore I will say that nothing ever truly ends –> it evolves! 🙂

Eventually it will. We all know about the big bang what we don’t know is what happens next. If there is enough mass in the universe the big bang will reverse and everything will crush back in again physicists have called this the big crunch. If there is not enough mass in the universe, it will continue expanding until it runs out of steam. By then there will be no life- we will be too far away from the sun. Which one of these will happen is one of the things the Large Hadron Collider will help us figure out.

However DON’T PANIC!! All this is billions of years in the future just like the big bang was billions of years in the past. We have ages to live out our lives and change and evolve.

Did you mean the World Joel? Or are you really concerned about the Wold? 😉 I think the Wold will be fine. I also think that Earth will be around for a while. It depends what you mean by ‘The World’- if you men humanity then- yes- I don’t think we’ll be around for eternity. No animal species on this planet has ever managed that so in that sense I think the world of humans will end one day (a looooooooooong time off in the future). I don’t know whether we will wipe ourselves out through war or whether we’ll face a different threat.

As for the planet itself- astrophysicists have long known that our sun will eventually ‘die’ through studying other similar stars. Our sun will begin to increase in size to become a ‘red giant’ and I’m afraid it will frazzle everything on our poor little rock then it’ll swallow Earth up. Eventually there will a super nova where our star dies then everything will be recycled and will form into something different! Very efficient. This however will not happen for hundreds of millions of years. Our entire universe may even be finite too.

Maybe…but I doubt it. Something will always continue, just not sure what that might be!
