I think the key things to being a good scientist are: enthusiasm, determination and a passion for learning. It does take hard work to become a scientist but I do think that anyone can do it if they have enough interest in the first place. You do have to be able to think analytically but it’s not all about being brainy. Analytical thinking and critical thinking are skills a person can LEARN. Therefore yes- if the Jonas Brothers, bless them, wanted to give up their careers as pop stars (they might get fed up with all the female attention) and if they were willing to learn and study- they could be scientists. Brian May was a guitarist with a band called Queen (ask your dad) and he now has a PhD in astrophysics! Prof Brian Cox off the telly used to be in a band called D:Ream (they weren’t great). Science is for everyone!

I think most people could be a scientist in some way! it is actually a very broad term, so could mean all sorts of careers

I genuinely think that anyone can do anything. I think that most of learning to be good at something is practice. So yeah if the Jonas Brothers wanted to give up (ahem) singing, I’m sure they’d make excellent scientists (if they could adjust to the lower wage). x
