      Hi davbash,

I actually do and I love it!! I’ve been to Australia to do work and also my samples were collected in Russia. I also go to conferences a few times a year, which is an important part of being a scientist because you get to exchange ideas with people from all over the world, and that also involves traveling.

Yes! Next month I am going to Japan for a conference, and I have just got back from Berlin in Germany. Sometimes I travel to get data, and sometimes I go to conferences to tell other people what we have found out. It is very exciting!

I am not a field tripping scientist, unfortunately, but I travel around the world to share my work- yey to conferences! I have been to Asia and South America that way and it is always exciting!

Hey Davbash. Yep- I’ve been to South China, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden and……Scotland during my PhD. You tend to travel a lot as a scientist- both for research and to attend conferences. it’s definitely one of the perks of the job!
