Yep- I took triple science. I then went on to take Physics and chemistry at A-level. I’m glad I took triple science- it prepared me for my A-levels and I learnt a bit more about certain things (I can’t remember what now!) However, I know people who only took general/double science and they’re pretty good scientists- it doesn’t matter too much at that stage.

I did enjoy science but I also found it HARD! Especially physics. My self-confidence grew in university though and it got a whole lot better and easier surprisingly.

I did enjoy science – it’s fun – it’s all about asking questions that let you understand the world better. But since I’m not British I didn’t take GSCEs, but I did take the equivalent of it in my country if that helps 🙂

I really liked science. I went to school in Ireland so where you do GCSEs we do the Junior Cert and then the Leaving Cert when we get a bit older. I took physics, chemistry, biology, maths, french, classics, english and we also had to study the Irish language!

I think the way science was introduced to me was wrong and no, I didn’t enjoy it in the beginning. I hated Chemistry (because of the annoying Chem teacher) and overall I didn’t like Science because it felt me feel inadequate. Later I realized that Science is not really about knowing everything, it is a life style. (and hello my annoying chem teacher, I got a PhD in Chemistry!!) Curiosity, is more important than knowledge, as Einstein puts it. I liked Science later in College and because I know not everybody gets to have this chance, I’d like to be an educator and hopefully do a better job in science teaching at early ages. Thanks for this question.

Favourite subject! I did combined science (so all three subjects), and I think it is very important to study all three so that you have a good basis for further study!
