Absolutely! I love geography and finding out about different places, and I love food and understanding how different cultures do things differently. I also love sport and am currently training for a 10 mile race. So…science isn’t everything for me! 🙂
Thanks for your question. I’m really interested in conservation. I guess it stems a little from my work and interest in biology. I really want to make sure that my kids get to see alive panda and the Amazon rainforest will still be around in a decade’s time. I also love reading about new medical discoveries – it’s great to learn how much we can do. And I also like ‘normal people things’ like the cinema and hanging out with friends 🙂 And traveling! My dream is to go to Costa Rice. Hope that answers your question!
Yes, I have a big interest in politics and history. When I am free from work I tend to read books about these two. In fact, I have seriously considered being an historian rather than a scientist. Gladly I knew I would make a terrible politician (because I can’t lie!) 🙂
I’m interested in loads of subjects besides science! I’m very interested in English literature, particularly children’s literature. I’m interested in finding out about where fairy tales came from since they weren’t always pleasant tales of moral instruction- they used to be very gory, frightening tales told by adults and I’m quite interested in those origins. I also love art and finding out about what inspired different artists to paint the way they did. I love geography- I think it’s fascinating to learn about different people and the way we affect the planet.
