Based on evidence from our own rock record (the history of our planet as told through every rock on it’s surface) I think the world began during the formation of our solar system along with the other planets. Lots of different elements like iron, silicon, aluminium and LOADS of others came together and formed a molten ‘proto’ planet. As more elements came together the mass of the proto-planet increased and attracted more elements. The heavier elements like iron sank to the centre of the planet and the lighter ones on the outside eventually cooled to form the crust. About 3 billion years after this life began evolving and the world as we know it started to take shape. I don’t believe the world was created by a supreme, knowing power because I have never encountered any evidence for this.

Not my area – but I think the big bang theory seems fairly convincing! What do you think?
